Universities of Upstate New York contribute immensely to the research, intellectual capital and economic wealth of the region. Combined, these institutions have more than $1 billion in research expenditures per year. This research translates into hundreds of invention disclosures that result in patented technologies available for licensing opportunities and start-up businesses.

Companies affiliated with the any of the participating institutions are eligible to apply to be part of UNYTECH. By its nature, university technology-based companies are very early stage, for this reason we encourage you to work closely with your institutions' technology transfer office during the application process.
